Buy my artwork to raise money for the Queensland flood victims

Flood Victims

I am selling three of my most popular photographic prints on my Etsy Shop as a member of the BrisStyle hand made crafters where the proceeds will be immediately donated to the Queensland Premiers Flood Relief Appeal.Like everyone, I have watched the news of the flooding unfold in complete disbelief at what I was witnessing and shed many a tear on seeing the plight of my fellow Queenslanders who were most affected by this cruel act of Mother Nature.  My husband and I are blessed in the fact that we have not been affected by the cruel wrath of the floods.

We do not live near a river and our house is on higher ground but the realisation of how close we were to this catastrophic disaster has affected us deeply.  Every Australian has been affected deeply and in true “Aussie” spirit, have chipped in to help their less fortunate mates cope.  The story of the rescued joey as well touched the hearts of the Nation.

This little joey made it and after being wrapped in a blanket, was hopping around the place in no time

The photographic prints I am selling, which come with either a white or black mount are 7 x 5 inch prints which are ready to be popped into a 10 x 8 inch frame. The total proceeds of my sales of these prints will go to the Premiers Flood Relief Appeal at: https://www.smartservice.qld.gov.au/services/donations/campaigns/appeal10

Rainy Day Blues – Rainbow Lorikeet, 5 x 7 inch matted print

Singing in the Rain – Rainbow Lorikeet, 5 x 7 inch matted print

Lean on Me – Pair of Rainbow Lorikeets, 5 x 7 inch matted print

I have only listed one of each of these prints in my Etsy shop but after each sale, I will be renewing the prints for two weeks in order to raise more money for the flood victims so please keep checking back for a new listing of the print.

See the rest of the items where the proceeds are being donated by other crafters here.

Thank you so much for your support and in purchasing a print of the very Australian and much loved rainbow lorikeet, you will have assisted someone, somewhere in Queensland, Australia who is trying to rebuild their life.

    Dear Lesley,

I’m very touched to find an Etsy shop helping the flood victims and was delighted to buy the print of the two little lorikeets. They look as though they need comfort from one another, just as all those unfortunate people and animals now need comfort. I live just out of Sydney and we’ve had dry weather while watching with horror and anguish as the floods took their terrible toll. I’m pleased to read that you weren’t affected, at least not physically, but I think we are all stunned and sobered that such a disaster can come almost from nowhere and cover so much of the state. And NSW and Victoria – just dreadful to watch and I can only imagine what it must be like to be there.

All the best, Carol (from the NSW Central Coast)

Carol, thank you so much for purchasing my lorikeets and for taking the trouble to comment. It’s gorgeous people such as yourself who make this all the more worthwhile!

Hello Patrick, you are kidding aren’t you? I never know with you as you have a sharp sense of humour. Simply download the correct size for your monitor. Thanks so much for your order of “Moonlight Rendezvous”. I will be mailing it to you tomorrow (Tuesday) and thank you for supporting my work. When do you retire?

Great image. O.k. what is wall paper ? I remember wall papering our bedrooms as kids and the nightmare for dad when my sister wanted her ceiling wall-papered but what is this computer wall paper stuff and how do you get the blank side adhesive???

Hi Patrick, retirement sounds good and on a boat – how exciting. Thanks for your interest in this painting. I’m not so sure about a tea towel though but it’s an interesting thought. Hope you and your swans are doing ok.

I shall put some money in my card tomorrow and buy a print of this. I’m retiring to live on a boat soon so I don’t have room for art and it suddenly occurred to me to ask you if you could reproduce it on a tea towel ??? could be another outlet!
