I am thrilled to announce that Oz Wildlife Studio is running a Christmas Card competition which is open to children ages 7 to 12 who reside in Australia.

This is one of the top wildlife art competitions to enter and submissions are now being accepted for the 2013 competition.  Going by last year’s winners, a wide range of styles and interpretations were selected so why not give it a go?

I have never had the courage to enter this competition but love looking at the winners’ artworks. Here are the winners of the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition 2012 and again, the standard is incredibly high. Feast your eyes on some outstanding wildlife art and there are some interesting choices by the judges.

I was not aware of this photography competition but you still have time to enter your best nature photography as the deadline is 16 December 2012. The standard looks very high and the judges are looking for “striking originality”.

The British Wildlife Photography Awards are proud to announce the winners for 2012. The competition has captured the imagination of thousands of photographers, who collectively have created a stunning and innovative series of images which showcase British wildlife at its best.

I have followed this photography competition every year since developing an avid interest in wildlife and nature photography and due to the majority of my photographic endeavours being an ongoing journal of my “garden guests”,  I decided to enter “Lean on Me” which I felt was a good fit for this competition.
