I think we have a pair of King Parrots and another single male parrot who come into our garden for a feed. This is exciting news and we are seeing a lot more of these stunningly beautiful birds. I attempted to take some photographs of the single male but he was right against the bar of the pool fence and I couldn’t quite get the ideal shot. He is very obliging though and was not phased by me or my camera so I am looking forward to more photo opportunities.
I’ve called this one “Catching Raindrops” and he was tilting his head up as if to embrace the afternoon shower.

He has a strange clump of food on his beak or it could be a growth, not sure. He looks as if he has just dived into a watermelon.

You will be pleased to hear that this gorgeous guy came down again today and the food clump was gone from his beak so he must have been gorging on some kind of fruit before he flew down to our garden. Life is good for this King Parrot!
