Climate change is taking its toll on koalas in Australia.  Drought, heatwaves, deforestation and bush fires are causing heat stress in native koalas to the point where dehydration can lead to death.  As a result koalas are turning to humans in suburbia to come to their rescue.

THEY are unlikely friends, but orphaned animals Anzac, the joey and Peggy, the wombat have become best mates. At just over five months old, Anzac was brought to the Wildlife Kilmore Rescue Centre after he was rescued in the Macedon Ranges.

A FAMILY of bears has been rescued from a bin by two good samaritans. A heartwarming video of the incident shows a woman in a ute backing slowly towards the bin while a mother bear looks on defensively. The woman lowers the ladder into the bin and a few seconds later, three brown bear cubs
