A FAMILY of bears has been rescued from a bin by two good samaritans. A heartwarming video of the incident shows a woman in a ute backing slowly towards the bin while a mother bear looks on defensively. The woman lowers the ladder into the bin and a few seconds later, three brown bear cubs come scrambling out to join their mother. ”I was not scared,” said rescuer Shirley Schenk. “I had my husband driving and I knew we’d drop it and go. I would have never done that on foot.”
Bear cubs have gotten stuck in their bin twice before, and the Schenks even keep a ladder in the garage for exactly this purpose.
